EFCA West is committed to the belief that the most strategic portion of the Great Commission is the mission of church planting. To that end, the EFCA West leadership team is delighted to announce the creation of THE WALLY NORLING FOUNDATION.
As the founding District Superintendent for what eventually became the Southwest Border, Hawaii, Central, and Southwest Districts, Wally broke the mold of tradition by championing church planting well beyond the boundaries of ethnicity. Hispanic, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, Egyptian, Messianic and African-American churches joined the ranks of EFCA during his years of leadership. In fact, between his appointment in 1966 and retirement in 1991, Wally was responsible for planting well over 35 congregations.
Now for the first time, a legal gift instrument exists which allows you to not only pay tribute to Wally’s exemplary vision, but join directly in its fulfillment. The Wally Norling Foundation is not a trust or endowment, but rather a restricted-purpose fund available to receive direct donations, lifetime gifts or estate gifts. This designated fund was arranged through the EFCA Foundation, a denominational ministry of the Evangelical Free Church of America of Minneapolis, MN. While collected monies are owned and managed by the EFCA Foundation, these funds are exclusively invested back into our EFCA West district in an established ratio of church planting and ministries of greatest need. Your gift will ensure that the vibrant and much-respected family of churches known as the EFCA continues to grow for many generations to come..
