Fair Share
The name "Fair Share" was chosen because of the relatively small ask of 3% of a church's received offerings in comparison to any other denomination in this country. It is our conviction that if God has called a church to be a part of this denominational family, then He has also called that church to contribute its Fair Share to the group effort. Just as God expects a believer to give sacrificially of firstfruits regardless of circumstances, so we believe He expects a denominational church to do the same.
For our part, we envision a day when every EFCA West congregation and church leader can easily cite multiple reasons for affiliation, both tangible and intangible. Most already can. In the meantime, a church's Fair Share contribution benefits the Kingdom, and numerous sister congregations and leaders in particular.
The 3% is broken into 3 categories: 1% for National EFCA ministries, 1% for EFCA West District ministries and 1% for EFCA West District church planting. This 3% is designed to provide a consistent source of financial resources.
